The Hour-glass Sanatorium is a 1973 Polish film directed by Wojciech Has. In the film Józef visits his father Jakub at his deathbed. In the sanatorium time appears to behave in unpredictable ways. Józef finds himself in a dream-like world which reanimates the past. In which he is constantly looking for his father.
